So I got tired of looking at the same basic three layouts and went and made my own. Before anyone even mentions, I know it's not perfect in FF but since I was short on time and the majority of web users are still using IE I went with the majority to save time.

The whole look and feel is very similar to BaseCamp and ActiveCollab (spit, spit) in case you are wondering. Here is a screen shot:

The only change in the code I made was to take out the ability to upload a logo from the Admin so you will have to go in and hard code that change. I'm more of a hack supreme than an actual coder so you'll have to forgive me for some of the code in there to make this work. Smile If you have a better way of doing the code then please feel free to change away. Wink

This is my first ever contributing to an open source project so I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for the design! It looks great!

We are planning on redoing the whole look and feel in v3 and will make it a lot easier to customize and create custom layouts.

Keep up the good work.

Muchas taco supreme. Smile

It was NOT easy getting this thing to not only look good but apparently to work right as well since I didn't realize there were some errors. But once I went through and thoroughly test it, it all seems to be working fine now.

Here is the most current files for the theme BIG THINK.

Ok, so hopefully this will be the final version. Maybe the ADMIN can delete the other files. Smile

I tinkered with the code a bit and figured out how to disable the Admin link from showing up on the User pages. So now the only way you can even get to the Admin link is if you are logged in as the Admin. Smile

Enjoy.

bigthink,

I know this is an old thread...
hopefully you get to read this post!

Congratulations, thanks and great job on the new theme!
it really brightens phpcollab!

I have installed it and everything is fine... just
want to ask you if you care to share thte gif's that
are missing. All the gifs used in the CSS are missing...
(as well as the top icons, but I have replaced those already).

Thanks in advance for your great work... and for the help!

Carlos

I just went in to download the files and apparently they have been removed so I'm posting a new link with all of the files this time. Smile

The Theme you need is set to DEFAULT in the files.

There were other modifications done to the original code but the current file size limit prohibits me from posting to the site. If you are interested in the source code for this project then shoot me an email at support at bigthinkagency.com and I will be glad to send it over!

The changes we made were mainly to allow the Admin to have more control over what links and content the standard users could see:

1. Links at the top are only visible to Admin (Admin, Projects, Clients, etc) There is no need for our programmers and designers to see who our clients are or what other projects we are working on so I removed them so that only the Admin can view them.

2. Notes: I made this viewable only to the Admin so that I could make notes like Quote Amount, Cost of development, Various other costs, payments made to team members and any notes on the performance of people assigned to that project. Very handy to have there without prying eyes invading and helps to keep all of that information in one spot.

Nothing major but they help us a lot with what we do!
